REALTOR® Requirements

License Requirements

All licenses are on a three-year renewal cycle. All agents are required to complete at least 24 hours of approved Continuing Education every licensure period. You may check your renewal date on the DORA Website.  For additional assistance, call the MAR office at 970-249-6213.

You will be able to print a copy of your real estate license for your records after your log in.

What have you completed?

Paper certificates are no longer being provided and all records are being maintained by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).  Pocket cards are issued at the time of licensure.

Copies of continuing education completion certificates may be obtained from the MAR office so long as you took the classes at that location.  Otherwise, please provide a copy to the MAR office of any classes taken online or at another facility.  MAR keeps track of all members’ continuing education credits and advises if classes are needed prior to renewal of license.

NAR Requirement

All REALTORS® are required to take the following course every two years:

  • Code of Ethics
The deadline for the next two-year period is December 31, 2018.  You must provide proof of completion to the Association if you take the class online or at another facility.  Local associations are charged with the responsibility to ensure members meet this requirement.  MAR holds ethics classes at least twice each year.  Four credit hours are required for each class.
